Who would’ve thought?

This week long hiatus from blogging was not my idea.

In fact, I have several posts knocking around in my brain just waiting for me to have time to sit down – fingers on keyboard – and let them out.

Time!  No, I have had no time this week to make the keys go clickety-clack.  No time at all.

Instead I’ve had – new class starting, Irish dance workshops, meetings, PTA, Back to School Night (2 of them), dance show planning, teaching, more meetings, tae kwon do, social studies projects, drum lessons, math tutoring, wedding clothes altering, lesson planning, paper grading, and dance performances.

In other words, No Time.

In other other words, this week has kicked my ass and it is showing no signs of slowing down yet.  Dance classes start tomorrow night.  I’m teaching from 8am to 1:30pm at the college and then home to do homework with the kids and then off to teach dance from 6:45 until 10:15 tomorrow night.  I’m supposed to be planning tomorrow morning’s class right now instead of writing this.

But I miss my blog.  I will be back for real in a few days.  I will. I will. I will.

In the meantime, I’ll leave you with a few pictures of our weekend.  I took a group of Irish dancers, including Tink, to the Renaissance Festival to perform.  It’s always like going home for me at the Renn Faire.  IT Guy feels the same way.

This time, for the first time, Tink was dancing.  The daughter of two people who met while performing at the Renaissance Festival took to the Festival stage herself. 19 years after that Liar guy passed me a rat, our daughter performed in that same place. Seriously, who would have thought it?  Who would’ve thought we’d be back at the Festival still together and with these two in tow almost 2 decades later?

I suppose it should make me feel old, but, really, it just makes me happy.

Look at them. How could I not be happy?

I’ll be back soon.
